Psi Chapter of the Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity at the University of Alabama.
IFC Committee
- Attend all IFC Meetings
- Relay information to the chapter
- Turn in any forms & dues needed from IFC
- Help the chapter run IFC related events such as Greek Week
- Be a representative of the chapter for all inter-fraternal events
- Act as the ambassador of ZBT
Judicial Board Committee
- Interpret the constitution when giving out sanctions
- Act as the judge & jury of the chapter
- Attend all hearings of the brothers
- Make and change rules as the times change
- Have senior judicial chair report finished investigations to executive board
- Meet with brothers who have broken rules, not met deadlines, poor academic performance, and/or questions of clarification of the rules
- Meet every week on a specific day and time decided by the committee
Social Committee
- Assist social chair on every party
- Work with house manager on clean up after parties
- Help come up with themes for swaps
- Help book bands for band parties and help them set up and break down
- Talk with other fraternities for joint parties
- Help set up date parties and come with themes
Risk Management Committee
- Be on the lookout at all parties for risky situations
- When problems happen let the president know & make split second decisions
- Enforce rules at parties (no glass bottles)
- Talk to security guards at parties
- Know the university & IFC’s policies/rules and help enforce them
Webmaster Committee
- Make sure all the rooms in the house have internet
- Update chapter website (upload pictures, update calendar, & put weekly meal schedules up)
T-Shirt/Zap Committee
- Collect all money for t-shirts & zaps
- Give out t-shirts & zaps
- Create t-shirts for the house and parties
- Work with treasurer on all the above
Academic Committee
- Work with freshman academic chair
- Have people’s schedules and pair them up for study groups & mentoring
- Develop and implement standards
- Build test file
- Work on scholarships (Morris L. Mayer Fund)
- Plan events with faculty advisor (good study habits session)
Alumni/Parent Committee
- Work with Vice President
- Work with parent’s committee
- Help oversee any alumni or parent programs
- Work on alumni calling list
- Work with house manager to schedule clean up days with parents
- Help work on newsletter
- Research alumni programming (Texas)
- Golf event, A-Day, auction
- Be informed on any parent/alumni involvement
- Be on parent committee calls
- Get new freshman parents involved
Philanthropy Committee
- Work with the Philanthropy Chair to help run any philanthropic events
- Find new organizations to help raise money for
- Come up with novel ideas on how to make money for the organizations
- Find out when sororities and other fraternities are having their philanthropy events and let the chapter know
- Work with other sororities and fraternities to have joint philanthropic events
